trying to lose weight? Why can't I just be contented with being between 115-120 pounds? And the reason why I say "115-120" is not because I'm scared to admit that I'm 120 lbs. and I'm just saving face; but rather, I worry about my weight so much that I'm constantly fluctuating. I was happiest and saddest when I was 114 lbs.

Figure it out, and when you do, let me know.
Because I sure as hell can't figure it out myself.

Instead it is desperation. See I'm pretty lenient when it comes to freedom of wear. I mean, I'm super opposed with clogs, boyfriend jeans, and capri pants, but at least they're still clothes. Outerwear as clothing, thigh high stockings, a show of bra on the side--that's fine. It's acceptable. But nipple tape...good God. It's just desperation. I say desperation because it's horrible! Just horrible! Wearing it shows that you're fashion sense is different--and not in a cute, bold, new, absurd way; but rather just desperate to start a new trend and tacky.

I'm not even going to bother posting the Lily Allen/Karl Lagerfeld photographed and styled ads for Chanel. Seriously, for me, Chanel has been going downhill for a while now. What happened to the classy elegance the brand used to encompass? Well now Unkle Karl has chosen the classiest yet; geat find. Also, the fashion featured is just sooo mediocre. I expect better from Chanel. Come on Lagerfeld. Maybe you should quit shit-talking Heidi Klum, and start re-upping the brand. Major FAIL.

-Be Britney Spears'/Justin Timberlake's back-up dancer for a music video, or even better, on tour. I will never stop loving dance.
-Do PR for Victoria's Secret, IMG Models, Vogue/W/V/Cosmopolitan magazine, Los Angelese Lakers, up and coming designers/productions, and most importantly UNICEF. Not for celebrities. Maybe.
-Design my own line of swimwear. Then maybe summer wear.
-Develope my own "make-up finishing" cosmetic line. Will include lipglosses, skin lusters, skin illuminizers, eyelighters, and dewy skin sprays.
-Range out and build my own PR company/business. Will call "Patricia-Robinne || Public Relations". Cheesey gloriousness indeed. I already have a cool logo in mind.
-Open up a small restaurant featuring gourmet meals. Believe it or not, I'm actually a pretty bomb cook. Working on a concept in my mind.
-Get my license to be a private life coach. Not gonnnnna brag, but I am a pretty good judge of character, and I do give out reasonable advice to those that ask for it. I want to motivate and change someone's life for the better with the common sense I already possess.

So...my cousin got married this weekend, and boy was it a beautiful 4th of July indeed. The couple had a romantic and simple garden wedding, with the bridesmaids wearing flat sandals, the groom and his men wearing Rainbows, and the bride walking barefoot to the altar. We had pies instead of cake, and an open-pitt BBQ for the reception. Not hill-billy at all, but rather pure, simple, and natural.

My hair up in pin curls! How I styled it: 1" curling iron, roll the curl up gently, pin into an "X" using two bobby pins. Do your make-up while waiting. The heat from the curling iron will make the curls tighter while up in pins. After making up, relase curls--DON'T SHAKE YOUR HEAD/CURLS TOGETHER!!! Take about three curly strands, brush starting from the bottom, working your way up. This loosens up the curls so you don't end up looking you have a curly-fry head. Hairspray when finished styling.

My cousins, whom I love like siblings since I don't have any. And me! See, no curly-fry head.

Mother/son dance. I'm so lame, I forgot the song.

My grampa and I. 80 and still strong as ever. By the way, garden wedding = no heels. I walked in peace the whole evening. Dress by Papaya, $18.99, suede fringe sandals by Nine West, $19.99 at the outlet store, $49.99 online.

Mmm, the cutting of the cake. I mean pies! Apple! With vanilla ice cream! Need to swim laps to work off all that sugar! So worth it though...

I absolutely can't stand it when people buy clothes for the sake of the amount of numbers on a tag, for the sole purpose of it being a known label and expensive. Stupid. Buy fashion for the sake of wearing beautiful clothes, not for telling your friends and whomever, "Oh yeah, this dress I bought for $ *, ***.00 from __________." While I do realize that there are clothes worthy of being high-priced, it should not be the sole basis of buying it. Purchase it for appreciation and style, not because it's expensive, or designer.

So yesterday I bought a pair of super cute turquoise suede fringe sandals at the Nine West store at the Cabazon outlets, priced at $19.99. But because of a *BOGO50%off* sale, I was able to snag them for $11, more or less with tax. Today as I was casually browsing the Nine West website, I see the same exact shoes--for $49.99.

Yesterday's purchase is proof enough that God loves me.

Pick a title. I first read about Latisse in a magazine, I don't remember which, about a year ago. At the time, Latisse was still being tested and waiting for approval by the FDA. Needless to say I was ecstatic; I mean, the first topical treatment for the sole purpose of lengthening lashes...? I'm so down!

But then I was turned off.

About a month ago, Latisse commercials and ads started popping up everywhere. Ahh, at long last it has finally been approved by the FDA. Brooke Shields is the spokesperson for the product and I was really impressed because the makers chose a model/spokesperson that was famous, and not just another pretty face lacking lashes. This told me that this was seriously pretty good stuff.

Well...too good to be true. One of the side-effects of Latisse is possible permanent darkening of the eye pigmentation for those with darker hues (brown, black). I mean sure, I've come to terms that I have brown eyes instead of hazel or green. The last thing I need is to have a darker pigmentation, and I'm not one of those that uses colored contacts, nor do I want to. Just not for me. Another side-effect of the product is the waiting period. Seriously, 12-16 weeks for desirable results??? This is no insult to Latisse. I'm sure anymore potent to speed up the process and my eyeballs would dissolve into a goopy mess. But really though, I'd rather not wait that long to see results like this:

Don't get me wrong. Latisse obviously works. It's just that I'm personally looking for dramatic results. Latisse might be perfect for those that are looking for modest results, that don't mind the possible increase in eye pigmentation.

FIDM Will Always Be In The Back Of My Mind

Before I entered senior year, I applied to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. I was thrilled because I've always been into fashion and beauty, and I was completely honored when I got accepted. But then senior year came around, and I decided that while my love for styling and such was of utmost importance to me, it was indeed a vain industry, and that I in fact, could do something so much more important with my career choice. So I dropped my application for FIDM, and now I'm in a community college, finishing my two, possibly three, years of general education courses so I can eventually transfer to Loyola Marymount University or by an odd chance of faith, University of Southern California.

I have never been a genius, a nerd, or a particularly good scholar. Don't get me wrong; I can do math, I'm actually pretty good at english, humanities, art.; I can even get into science. But I'm just not the natural type. I know studying and learning is never easy and requires hard work, and while I am dedicated, I'd rather not. I'd rather work on something I'm interested in, instead of something that will make me lazy and hate school (in response to , "Mehh, Robinne, why aren't you taking up nursing?"). I want that Bachelor's Degree, so so bad. So as of now, my common goal is to finish up community college, transfer to LMU or USC, and major/minor in communications & public relations/dance.

But I've been thinking a lot about FIDM lately. I was gonna go to FIDM to get an AA in styling, with hopes of continuing in the same school for my degree. Maybe it's not such a vain move? Maybe it's not such a vain career?

I just can't help but think that I can do something better, that I can range out, instead of just working for something based on my love for fashion and beauty.

So let me tell you why I bought it.

When I was about ten years old, my cousin had a green Razor scooter. Needless to say, I loved it, borrowed it every chance I had (sometimes I even stole it when he wasn't looking or when he was napping), and weee'ed!!! all the way down his street. I wanted one so bad, but with mom being a single mom, priorities came first. And so I never got one. Finally for Christmas, my godfather bought me my own Raser scooter which was so not a Razor scooter. It rode the same, and made me as happy as my cousin's scooter did, but it wasn't the ideal Razor scooter I wanted. So I promised myself that one day, I don't know when, I'd buy my own. And that day was yesterday.

I Really Need To Be On The Pill

And no, not because I'm a vapid hoe. That time of the month really affects my life. I don't have an appetite (I haven't eaten properly in three days), I get extremely lethragic (I slept all night last night, all day today, and on my way to sleeping some more), I struggle showering because of me being so lethargic (I seriously sit every five seconds), my emotions are out of control (I seriously think about one sad thing and I bawl; I also get extremely, unnaturally angry), and on top of that the regular symptoms: migraines, cramps, bloating, and before my skin treatment, occasional acne. I don't have PMS, I have PMDD. It's horrible. Unfortunately, I have a very traditional mother that doesn't believe too much in medications, though she sees I struggle every month (though I also can't seem to help thinking that she'll assume I'll be jumping on a shit load of guys [tempting...jk. Maybe.]). I think eventually, she will let me get some...hopefully sometime soon! I've missed out on so many events from parties, to dinners, to classes even, to just having a fun weekend in general. No me gusta.

I am talking about that annoying bitch that JUST TALKS LIKE THIS THE WHOLE TIME and when you tell them respectfully to be quiet, they just respond by saying, "WOW I HATE IT WHEN OTHER PEOPLE TELL ME TO BE QUIET! I CAN'T STAND IT."
